Pet sitting is a seven days a week job and a sitter needs days off, vacations and emergency back up. Well I have some very wonderful people who help me out, here is some info on them.

Betty and her daughter

Betty has been working for Paws At Home since it first opened. She has two dogs Bonita (Yellow Lab) and Bruiser (Dachshund/Chihuahua mix). She has owned pets all of her  life,  mostly dogs and one very special cat.  She likes to hike every weekend and of course take her dogs along, usually to Lake Hodges.  The dogs enjoy jumping in the lake and cooling off in the water.  They  follow up with breakfast where they eat at the outside tables and the dogs enjoy a warm plain bagel .

In the past, she has volunteered at the humane society in Escondido by walking the dogs.  They were always very happy to see the volunteers and get some exercise. She also currently volunteers for BAS (Baja Animal Sanctuary). BAS rescues abandoned dogs (and a few cats) from the streets of Baja (Rosarito), finds new homes for the adoptable ones, and they offer a lifelong place to the unfortunate unadaptable ones. It is a no kill facility. Some adoptable dogs are brought over to San Diego Petco stores where volunteers help in finding good homes for them.
